Final Reflection Paper
Directions: Write a 2-3 page reflection paper that addresses the following questions:
- What is the biggest takeaway you have from this course, and why?
- What is/are the most important thing(s) you learned this semester? What reading/lecture/other course material did you find the most valuable? Why?
- How do you see/understand our society differently now then you did four months ago? Be sure to give specific examples of things you see or understand differently.
- What will you take with you from this class into the world beyond the classroom? How will you do this?
You should be as specific as possible in your responses, using specific terms and giving clear examples, rather than just writing vague statements. While you don’t need to write this as an essay with an introduction, thesis statement, etc., you should still write using distinct paragraphs, and organize your response in a logical way. Please double-space your response, and check it over for clarity, grammar, and spelling before you submit. You will be graded on whether you fully address each of the questions, and on how thoroughly, thoughtfully, and specifically you reflect on the course in your response.
The course focused on inequality based on Race, Gender, and Class.
Use the topics of “Segregation and Academic Inequality and School Discipline and the School-to-Prison Pipeline” to answer the questions.
